Responsibilities

Here is what you will get to do:

  • Assists in the load-in, set-up, running and strike and load-out of sound systems, stage lighting, audio/visual and theatrical equipment necessary for specific events.

  • Must work from oral and written instructions specific to the event.

  • Assists with maintenance of all theater equipment and workspaces.

  • Ensures safe working environment at all times.

  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements

Education:

  • High School, GED or equivalent in experience in addition to the experience line.

Experience:

  • Any combination equivalent to two years’ experience in technical theater support.

Attributes:

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, visiting artists, and general public.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common and technical journals.

  • Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers or members of the business community.

  • Ability to add, subtract and calculate percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

  • Noise level is moderate to heavy.

  • Non-smoking work environment.

  • This position requires the availability for a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, evenings and weekends working as needed.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for long periods of time.

  • Must sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, see, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant and color vision.

  • Must be agile enough to work on catwalks up to 45 feet above ground.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
