Crate Shop Technician Position

We are currently interviewing for a Cate Shop Technician position. We seek applicants with at least 2-5-years of experience in Carpentry, woodworking and crate construction for fine art. Your expertise is highly valued and will be a significant asset to our team. Benefits:

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Keeping accurate documentation of projects and materials used to produce high quality custom crates and other conveyances

  • Handle and move artworks using appropriate techniques to pack items for transportation or storage

  • perform shop maintenance and safety inspections while having an organized workspace

  • Safely operate power tools and related equipment

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in woodworking and constructing custom crates for fine art

  • Knowledge of suitable packing materials and techniques for artwork tailored for both long-term storage and short-term transportation

  • Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery, including table saw, compound miter saw, band saws, panel saw, pneumatic staplers and nailers, power drills, belt sanders, routers, biscuit joiners, airless paint sprayer and other hand tools

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to meet project deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Physical Requirements:

  • Must Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to to stand, walk, carry, kneel, twist, squat, bend and reach overhead
